Integrated Math 2
This course is for students who have satisfactorily completed Integrated Math 1. This course integrates Geometry and Advanced Algebra and prepares students for either the IB Math IBS1 or the Pre-calculus course. Algebra topics include: solving linear equations and inequalities (including Absolute Value); solving quadratic equations and inequalities algebraically (using factoring) or graphically (using the TI-83 or TI-84); graphing linear equations and inequalities; solving systems of equations using substitution; elimination using matrix solutions; radicals and rational exponents; solving radical equations; rational expressions and variation. Geometry topics include: parallel lines; classifying triangles; angles of triangles and polygons; similar triangles; congruent triangles; Pythagorean theorem; special right triangles; right triangle trigonometry; circle geometry; surface areas and volumes of solids; introduction to vectors and functions.

A graphing calculator (TI-83) is required.
